Recently team of Homoeopathy University, Jaipur got an opportunity to study the Covid-19 Positive cases admitted in various Hospitals of Jaipur. Though we tried a lot to obtain the official permission to conduct the research trial in collaboration with CRI (A unit of CCRH, New Delhi) but we could not succeed due to strict policies of ethical committees of Government medical colleges. However, many admitted patients were willing to take Homoeopathy as an Add on therapy to their existing treatment. Through various acquaintances, friends, and attendants, we could communicate with 55 patients through tele-medicine. Out of these 55 cases, we could supply medicines to only 42 cases through various resources.

Total Cases Prescribed: 42
Out of these 42 patients 27 were asymptomatic. These patients were prescribed on the basis of totality considering their Mental and Physical Generals.
After careful analysis of symptoms of all these patients, it was evident that
31 patients expressed the totality of Arsenic album.
Symptoms in support of Arsenicum album :
- Fear of death,
- Anxiety about disease
- Restlessness,
- Weakness irrespective of trivial symptoms or no symptoms
- Frequent thirst .
2 cases were from ICU and they also manifested the symptoms of Arsenic as
- Nightly aggravation of breathlessness (Even on being oxygen),
- Tightness across the chest worse when lying down compelling to sit up in bed with restlessness.
12 Cases responded to different remedies based on their characteristic mental and physical symptoms.

- Natrum mur 1 Case
- Colchicum 1 Case

After giving medicines, follow up was taken on 4th day. Most of the patients from this group were discharged within three days and rest of the patients were discharged later when they were symptomatically better.
Since this was an Add-on study and all patients were hospitalized and were taking conventional treatment. So the efficacy of Homeopathy alone cannot be claimed; also in absence of approval of ICMR to officially conduct the experimental or controlled study on patients the study could not be conducted on proper research norms.
To sum up, it can be effectively concluded that Homoeopathic remedies have an elaborate expression of COVID symptoms in their Materia medica. Hence Homeopathy can be an effective therapy to control this pandemic. There is a need of further research on large sample sizes and on clinical research norms to prove efficacy of Homeopathy in the pandemic.
